- Despite its compact size, Discovery is a complete spirometer and does not require a base station.

- A large LCD screen displays inspiratory and expiratory tests in real-time.  Spirometry is an effort-dependent test, and the ability to see graphs in real time will help you get better results, faster.

- Graphs, measurements and interpretations can be previewed on screen prior to printing.

- Discovery offers three printing options:

  1.    An internal printer generates fast, non-fading reports at the touch of a button. A complete sample is available at this link. 

  1. Discovery can be connected directly to an external printer for full-page (8.5 x 11") reports. Follow this link to see a sample.

  1. With Discovery's Data Management software, reports can be customized with patient history, physicians' notes and other information specific to your application. They can be printed in color,  faxed, or sent by e-mail. For a sample printout, follow this link.

- Up to 100 patient records can be saved without a memory card. 

- Discovery's Data Management Software for Windows allows transfer and storage of patient records on a PC or laptop. Using this software, you can add comments and notes to patient records, superimpose graphs from different tests to compare PFTs over time, convert data for use with other programs or transmit files by internet.

- A rechargeable internal battery lets you do hours of testing in virtually any setting.
