Gauss Meters
- Benefits of a Safe Meter:
Measure
ELF magnetic radiation levels from color and monochrome VDTs.
Establish
the distance at which your VDT meets the latest Swedish MPR II standards.
Compare
radiation levels before purchasing new equipment.
Determine
the best location for office furniture in order to reduce chronic
exposure.
Measure
60 Hz magnetic fields around individual appliances (such as alarm
clocks, microwave ovens, televisions and copying machines).
Conduct
surveys of magnetic fields for others as a business.
Measure
60 Hz magnetic fields near power lines, transformers and hidden
wiring--inside and outside your home, school and office.
Select
a home that is wired properly and located a safe distance from outside
sources of magnetic radiation.
-
The Safe Gauss Meters are easy to use. Simply turn them on and read
the field strength in Milligauss. Owner's manual includes expert advice
and helpful hints for your safety.
- The Safe Professional Digital ELF Meter
-
This meter is perfect for measuring all ELF sources: power lines,
transformers, fluorescents, motors, ovens, toasters, shavers, electric
blankets, coffee makers, alarm clocks, cars, and the ELF component
of computer monitors.
Used by the most respected professionals in the field. Rivals accuracy
of meters used by utility companies. Tested by the US EPA. Frequency
response from 20 Hz to 400 Hz. Large digital display. Easy to use:
Finds areas in homes and offices that are over 2 milligauss, and
shows prudent distances from appliances. Uses a 9 Alkaline Volt
battery. Scale: 0.0 to 199.9 milligauss ELF.
Price is $ 250. Shipping is $ 10.

The Radalert 50 measures alpha, beta, gamma, and x-radiation. Its digital display shows readings in your choice of counts per minute (cpm) or mR/hr, up to 50,000 cpm or 50 mR/hr, or in accumulated counts. A red LED blinks and a beeper chirps with each count (the chirp can be muted). An audible alert sounds when the radiation reaches a user-adjustable
Use the Radalert 50 to:
• Monitor personal radiation exposure
• Monitor an area or perimeter
• Detect radiation leaks and contamination
• Ensure regulatory compliance
• Monitor changes in background radiation
• Demonstrate principles of nuclear physics
• Check for radioactive minerals in the earth

The Inspector measures alpha, beta, gamma and x-radiation using a 2-inch “pancake” GM detector with high sensitivity to common beta and alpha sources. The easy-to-read digital display shows readings in your choice of mR/hr, CPM, CPS, or mSv/hr. The Total/Timer feature allows timed
readings from one minute to 24 hours for precise measurement of low-level contamination.
• Improves safety in laboratories and in the field
• Automatically compensates for GM tube dead time
• Anti-saturation circuitry prevents jamming in high radiation fields
• Meets CE certification requirements for Europe
• Safety-first calibration feature can eliminate personnel exposure during calibration
