WatchMinderTM

Training and Reminder System
for Persons with Attention Disorders

THE WATCHMINDER2 IS THE ONLY PROGRAMMABLE 30 ALARM VIBRATING WATCH AVAILABLE IN THE MARKET!

The WatchMinder2® is the second generation of the WatchMinder, an assistive device to help people with attention deficit disorder (A.D.D.), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (A.D.H.D.), learning disorders, (L.D.) and chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. The watch is a valuable tool for clinical trials research and improves subject compliance. It can be programmed as a medication reminder for home health care patients or the elderly and can assist in weight loss, smoking cessation and behavior modification programs. The watch is also beneficial to deaf and hard of hearing persons, stroke survivors and their caregivers, and to persons with Alzheimer's and memory dysfunction. The watch is useful for developing independent living skills.

·   The WatchMinder2 has two modes, the reminder mode and the training mode. Both modes can be operational at the same time. The reminder mode is useful for remembering specific tasks like taking medication and doing homework or chores. The training mode is useful for behavior change and self-monitoring. The watch has 30 daily alarms. Reminders can repeat daily or can be scheduled for the future dates and times.

·   The WatchMinder2 has a repeating countdown timer and a stopwatch.

·   The WatchMinder2 is an assistive device and can be an integral part of a 504 Plan at work or at school, and can be used by adults and children.

·   The WatchMinder2 uses a vibration system (similar to that of the common pager) that is easy to feel and privately alerts the person to do a particular task. The watch also has a beeping alert.  It does not require a computer or a paging service. The watch is easy to program, the screen is large and easy to read by persons of all ages, and all of the 60 messages have been pre-programmed in the memory of the watch. The WatchMinder2 can be programmed with personalized messages.

·   The WatchMinder2 is effective for persons with attention and learning disorders (ADHD, LD), as well as persons with autism and other developmental disorders.

·   The WatchMinder2 is beneficial to persons who are deaf and hard-of-hearing.

·   The WatchMinder2 is helpful to persons who have memory dysfunction and those persons recovering from a stroke or who have brain injury.

·   The WatchMinder2 is an excellent tool for improving medication compliance, and beneficial to persons who have chronic illnesses, such as diabetes and hypertension.

·   The WatchMinder2 is a valuable time management device for college students, and can be used for self-pacing during college exams.

·   The WatchMinder2 is a useful device for developing independent living skills, and can be an integral part of a vocational rehabilitation plan.

·   The WatchMinder2 is helpful to parents and teachers of children with school and behavioral problems, and can be used by the adult to remember to attend to the child's needs.

·   The WatchMinder2 is a valuable tool for eliminating bad habits such as smoking, nail biting, and over-eating.

·   The WatchMinder2 is a useful device for toilet training and re-training.

·   The WatchMinder2 is an excellent tool for clinical trials research and data collection, and can be used by research subjects to follow the protocol of the study. A number of research projects have utilized the WatchMinder.

·   The WatchMinder2 is helpful to elderly persons.

·   The WatchMinder2 is currently being recommended by medical doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, special education teachers, vocational rehabilitation counselors, school administrators, behavior therapists, school nurses and others.

·   The WatchMinder2 is water resistant.

·   The Watchminder2 was invented by a child psychologist, Laurence D. Becker, Ph.D. of Irvine, California.
