School and Group
Use
Educators have the
opportunity to nurture young minds and to experience the joy
that comes from seeing students learn new things. They also
share the frustration that some students suffer when disorders
like ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, Central
Auditory Processing Disorder, and other undiagnosed
problems hold students back from success in Reading, Handwriting,
and other areas of Academic
Achievement.
We understand that
frustration. We also understand that a learning disability is
often the result of sensory processing dysfunction. We provide
solutions that help struggling students catch up to class
norms and forge ahead to new heights of academic success. Our
programs improve the basic, foundational brain processes
necessary to succeed in learning and they address difficulties
arising from a number of different disorders which manifest
themselves in a variety of ways. These activities are fun and
can be integrated easily into the everyday life of your
classroom.
Based upon
observation and research in classroom, clinical and university
settings, Dr.
Frank Belgau developed the Learning Breakthrough
Program™. It is a system of
equipment and activities which use balance therapy and sensory
integration activities to stimulate critical neuropathways
in the brain.
Among other things,
the activity regimen produces the following benefits:
- Stimulate eye-hand
coordination to improve Handwriting.
- Speed up reaction
time to eliminate or minimize the slow reaction time
which is a factor in ADD/ADHD and CAPD.
- Organize brain structures to
improve Academic Success.
- Improve the brain's efficiency
in support of Reading and Spelling goals.
- Increase the integration of
the two
hemispheres of the brain to eliminate the time lags that
are characteristic of Dyslexia.
GROUP
USE: We have a specific instruction
manual that will guide you through the process of setting up
a Learning Breakthrough Program in your school. Please give
us a call at 561-630-7831 or send us an email at brotmanp@verizon.net to learn about the resources you will need to
successfully implement a group program in your school. It is
possible to have very large numbers of students successfully
use the program at school each day. Their use will enhance
their academic experience and make for an enjoyable
experience for both the students and the teachers.
The program can be used one
on one as well, however, you limit the number of students who
get to participate. Fiscal and space limitations are often
important considerations in group use implementation and
starting with individual trial useage may also allow an
educator to "prove" to an administration that committing the
resources to school-wide (or grade-wide) use will generate
tremendous improvement is grades, behaviors, test scores,
classroom attention and participation as well as overall
academic preparedness.
